Chippenham is to get a new Italian restaurant following the letting of the former Bridge Brasserie premises in New Road to La Passione. Prior to the Bridge Brasserie, the property was the long standing Little George public house.

The Bridge Brasserie closed in September 2014 and Huw Thomas Commercial was instructed by the private Landlord to seek a new tenant for the premises that comprised the ground floor and basement. The upper parts are separate and have recently gained consent for conversion to 6 residential flats.

La Passione, based in Chipping Sodbury, had been looking for some time to find a suitable property in which to open a restaurant in Chippenham. The closure of the Bridge Brasserie provided them with the opportunity to acquire an established restaurant property with a number of fixtures and fittings included.

Huw Thomas who negotiated the letting on behalf of the Landlord comments ” The Landlord is very pleased to have secured La Passione as a tenant. Chippenham has lacked an Italian restaurant so we hope it will prove to be a very successful expansion for them into the town”.

La Passione are currently fitting out and are hoping to be open by mid April.
