The shortage of supply of industrial and warehouse units in Wiltshire has been well documented for some time now. In the City of Bath the problem is even worse. The demand on land for high value uses such as student housing, hotel and residential apartments has led to a number of former industrial and warehouse sites being redeveloped for these uses.

The failure to find alternative premises in the City has resulted in Beck & Pollitzer Engineering Limited relocating from Bath to Chippenham.  The company that specialises in machinery installations, has acquired a 3,500 sq.ft unit on Chippenham Trade Centre, part of the Bumpers Farm Estate. The unit that had recently been refurbished by the owner was let by Chippenham commercial property consultants Huw Thomas Commercial.

Huw Thomas comments “Beck & Pollitzer could not find suitable property in Bath so looked throughout the north and west Wiltshire area for something suitable. I’m very pleased that Unit M on the Chippenham Trade Centre met their criteria and terms were agreed for them to take a new lease on it. The unit had very recently been refurbished by the landlord, so they were very pleased to see their expenditure attract a very good quality tenant”.
